On December 6, 2017, The Staten Island Foundation board, staff and 150 guests celebrated 20 years of the Foundation’s nonprofit financial support, community leadership and collective change efforts with the local nonprofit community of health, education, arts and community service organizations at a reception at Richmond County Country Club.
$65.5 Million Total Amount of Grants Awarded
The Staten Island Foundation is the only independent, private foundation solely focused on support of outcomes for the Staten Island community through nonprofit organizations. Established by the former Staten Island Savings Bank December 16, 1997 at the time the bank went public, the Foundation currently has assets of $75 million and has distributed $65 million in grants in its 20 years.
