
Sara Ventrello
Special Projects Assistant
Sara joined The Staten Island Foundation as the part-time Special Projects Assistant in October 2024. Her focus is primarily on the Elizabeth Dubovsky Fellowship in Social Work, the Social Work Conference, social media, organizing community building events/conversations with grantees, and grant application review. Sara aims to provide the local social work community and grantees with necessary resources/information to foster open communication, growth, and collaboration.
Sara was born and raised on Staten Island. After graduating from The Michael J. Petrides School, she attended Binghamton University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Neuroscience with a minor in Religious Studies. She was an active Executive Board member of the Theta Kappa chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national professional gender-inclusive service fraternity. Sara has experience with organizing professional development and community events in the Binghamton community and seeks to utilize her experience to benefit her work at the Foundation.
