At the October 30, 2108 Board Meeting, the Directors of The Staten Island Foundation approved grants to organizations seeking the following results:
Education
Increases in the number of K-12 students that are improving their academic achievement to at or above grade level
- Sundog Theatre: $45,000 – 3-D Literacy Program
- Read Alliance: $50,000 – READ Programs targeting the North Shore of Staten Island
- Literacy Partners: $35,000 – Learning Together, Reading Together Program
- Literacy, Inc.: $60,000 – North Shore Reads Program
